Is FinallyFast.com a Scam?
Does FinallyFast.com’s “As Seen On TV” free software really work? Is Finallyfast.com a scam? Can FinallyFast.com really speed up my computer? Does FinallyFast.com (AKA Ascentive) do all of this for free? Well, read-on and I’ll give you my own personal FinallyFast.com review. I have been repairing computers professionally for the last 13 years and have firsthand knowledge of what works and what doesn’t. As much as I would love to discover a single product that works as great as Ascentive claims it does, the truth is that it just doesn’t exist.
“After reading my review, please help me get the word out by using one or more of the Social Media icons in the floating sidebar on the left.”
There are many websites out there that outline the efficacy of FinallyFast.com’s software (aka Ascentive) and none of the ones that I’ve read have anything nice to say. Well, neither do I, but I’ll try to get to the point as quickly as I can to save you from making a mistake.
First of all, Ascentive is not listed as a certified product vendor for any of the major 3rd party security software testing companies such as Checkmark, ICSA Labs, AV-Comparatives, and VB-100. Big companies like ESET, Kaspersky, McAfee, Symantec, etc all proudly display their certification logos. Always look for one or more of the following logos when you are buying a security software product.
Since Ascentive doesn’t have any “real” authoritative companies to vouch for their product, I would be cautious about believing their own claims. To that end, below is my brief rebuttal to 5 features FinallyFast.com touts about their product on their own website:
1. FinallyFast.com Downloads
FinallyFast.com advertises very aggressively on TV with hyper-sensational claims that prey on the hopes of inexperienced computer users looking for a miracle cure for their computer problems. The pitch for a Free download download seems harmless enough that it is inevitable that many people will download it. Its an advertising numbers game for them and is in no way a reflection of how effective their product is or isn’t.
I also would not be impressed with their claims of being featured in Forbes Magazine or Business Week. The claims were for the parent company Ascentive and not for the FinallyFast.com product. It would be interesting to know just how many of their 20 million downloaders resulted in happy customers.
2. FinallyFast.Com Money Back Guarantee
Since you have to buy this software online with a credit card, you already have a measure of protection. They can say whatever they want to reduce the risk of trying their software, but I suggest that you consider what your time is worth if you have to call them. Some people report that they had difficulty unsubscribing. Just beware that they may also try to upsell you on other products they offer that they may claim is needed to take care of your particular problem.
3. FinallyFast.Com Activation
The initial software you download is for diagnosis only and requires “activation” before it can remove any of the alleged problems it finds wrong with your PC. Just know that “activation” is a buzz word for “this is not free and we need your credit card number”
4. FinallyFast.Com Free Download
Below is an “excerpt” of the small print from the Ascentive.com and FinallyFast.com websites:
“The free download of Ascentive’s Registry Cleaner, Anti-Malware Software, and other trial products are intended to find issues, errors, threats, junk, and clutter that can be removed by single or multiple Ascentive products after paid activation. The free scans do not require payment and are set to run automatically every 7 days for your convenience. Uninstall is easy and can be done at any time using “Add/Remove Programs” on any Windows machine. Your results may vary. Speed improvements are dependent on what is actually limiting a particular computer and may require more than one product category or remedy for ultimate success.”
My experience as a PC Technician is that “Your results DO vary!” Many of my customers have difficulty removing this product from their computers once they discover that it is not reputable. Even if they never paid for it, it is known to cause additional performance issues with PCs that are already suffering.
5. FinallyFast.Com Price
So they say it costs $29.95, but after talking to many unwary customers that actually bought this product, I can see how they were easy targets for Ascentive to upsell them on other products. This business practice is not bad in itself if the products and customer service are good and are in the best interests of the consumer, but if you do a bit of due diligence on this company’s products, you’ll easily find that they are not very reputable.
For most people, their product probably won’t work as well as it was hyped on TV and Radio, and you might find yourself calling them for Tech Support. This is when you can expect to be upsold on additional products and services beyond the initial price of $29.95. Despite whatever they say to explain why the initial product didn’t do the job, you would do better to just take your computer to a local independent computer shop where you can deal with them face to face. Then ask them if they think FinallyFast.com is worth the price.

Alternatives to FinallyFast.Com
The bottom line is that Ascentive’s products such as those offered at FinallyFast.com are somewhat effective, but so is an old broken clock which is still correct 2 times a day. They promote misleading info and walk the line as far as being a scam. The fact is that there are many other reputable alternative products out there that can do a better job without having to take a chance with Ascentive. I challenge anybody to quantitatively prove that Ascentive is any better than the totally free products listed below.
Below are a few links to some reputable free products that I have personally used myself for years. Please give them a try first before you take a chance at risking your computer, your wallet and your valuable time with FinallyFast.com.
